H.R. 5645 — Pray Safe Act of 2025
What it does
This bill creates a federal online clearinghouse within the Department of Homeland Security to publish safety and security best practices for nonprofits, faith-based organizations, and houses of worship, and to consolidate information about federal grant programs available to these groups. The clearinghouse will be staffed with at least one dedicated point of contact, will curate evidence-based safety recommendations (from facility hardening to emergency response), and will maintain a searchable index of all relevant federal grants. The bill sunsets after 4 years and requires DHS to report to Congress every 3 years on updates.
Quorum's transparency scan found no buried provisions in Pray Safe Act of 2025.
