What it does
This bill transfers and sells federal lands in northern Nevada to state and local governments, tribal entities, and private bidders. It conveys ~67 acres to Nevada for a state park, ~7,777 acres to Douglas County for public purposes, sells ~31.5 acres to qualified bidders, transfers ~2,423 acres to the Washoe Tribe in trust, designates ~12,392 acres as wilderness, and conveys additional parcels to Incline Village, the Truckee River Flood Management Authority, and Carson City. Revenue from sales is split: 5% to the state for education, 10% to Douglas County, and 85% to a special account for land acquisition and conservation.
