What it does
This bill requires Medicare Advantage plans to have a licensed doctor review AI denials. The doctor must personally approve each denial before it is sent. The doctor must write that they made their own medical judgment. Plans must tell patients and doctors that AI was used. Plans must give the doctor's ID number. Plans must keep records for 10 years and report to the government every 90 days about AI denials.
