What it does
The bill tells the FCC to work with government offices to decide if certain robots pose safety risks. If they say yes, those robots get banned. The offices have one year to decide. If they do not decide in time, all such robots are banned. The ban only applies to robots made by foreign companies in countries of concern, not NATO allies.
