What it does
The bill lets Medicare pay for in-home IVIG treatment. Two nerve diseases can now get this coverage: CIDP and MMN. IVIG is a medicine made from human blood. It helps the immune system fight disease. Starting January 1, 2027, the Secretary of Health and Human Services can set payment amounts for these diseases.
Who it affects
People with CIDP and MMN gain Medicare coverage for IVIG. They will pay less out of pocket. Home infusion therapy providers and IVIG makers are also affected.
