What it does

SuperPACs that spend $10,000 or more per year must show their top three funders on each ad. Funders listed must have given $5,000 or more in the past 12 months. The names and amounts must appear on the ad itself. The rule starts January 1, 2027.

Who it affects

Voters see who is funding political ads before they vote. SuperPACs that spend $10,000 or more per year must follow the new rules.

One thing to notice

SuperPACs spending less than $10,000 per year do not have to follow this rule. When a SuperPAC gets money from another political group, voters must trace back. They see that group's top two funders.
