What it does
The bill bans money for cameras that read license plates. It also bans money for cameras that recognize faces. Groups that get money must turn off these systems within 180 days. If they don't, they lose their money. Two exceptions exist: border work and toll roads.
Who it affects
State and local police would have to stop using these cameras. Groups that get money would also have to stop. People would be tracked less by cameras paid with tax money.
