What it does
The bill ends the plan to store nuclear waste at Yucca Mountain in Nevada. It tells the Office of Management and Budget to study other uses for the land. The study must finish within 180 days. Other uses include defense sites, power sources, and research. The bill also stops the Department of Energy from using Yucca Mountain as a waste site.
