What it does
This bill blocks the Department of Labor from finalizing or enforcing a proposed workplace heat-safety standard that OSHA published in August 2024. The standard would have required employers to protect workers from heat injury and illness in both outdoor and indoor settings. The bill prevents any substantially similar standard from being implemented.
