What it does
This bill prohibits payment card networks (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) and banks from assigning special merchant category codes that single out firearms retailers. It prevents these financial intermediaries from tracking or flagging gun sales separately from other retail transactions, and gives the Attorney General power to investigate complaints and enforce the rule through federal court injunctions.
