What it does
This bill requires the Bureau of Prisons to implement recommendations from a 2023 Inspector General report on sexual harassment and assault of prison staff by inmates, and mandates the Inspector General to analyze whether those measures work. If the Bureau fails to implement within 90 days, it must explain why and provide a timeline. The Attorney General must then establish national standards for preventing and punishing inmate-on-staff sexual misconduct.
