S. 1568 — LIT Act of 2025
What it does
This bill repeals federal energy-efficiency standards for general service lamps (light bulbs) that were established by the Department of Energy in 2022 and 2024. It removes the regulatory framework requiring certain bulbs to meet minimum efficiency thresholds, effectively allowing manufacturers to produce and sell less efficient incandescent and other lamps without federal compliance requirements.
Quorum's transparency scan gave LIT Act of 2025 a high transparency warning.
