H.R. 2592 — Aviation Medication Transparency Act of 2025

Transparency & Ethics

What it does

This bill requires the FAA to publish and maintain a public list of medications that pilots and airmen can safely take while holding a medical certificate, along with medications the FAA prohibits ('Do Not Issue'). The list must be user-friendly, updated annually, and include information about stabilization periods and why certain medications are allowed or banned. Pilots, doctors, and medical providers will have transparent access to FAA medication rules that currently exist only in internal FAA databases.

Quorum's transparency scan found no buried provisions in Aviation Medication Transparency Act of 2025.
