What it does
The Secure America Act is a reconciliation bill appropriating approximately $20 billion to U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement for fiscal 2026–2029. The funds support hiring border patrol agents, immigration enforcement personnel, and child exploitation investigators; procuring border surveillance and screening technology (including AI systems); and combating drug trafficking. A specific $108.5 million allocation targets child sexual exploitation investigations and victim identification.
