What it does
This bill requires the Department of Homeland Security, working with the State Department and intelligence agencies, to assess terrorism threats posed by designated terrorist organizations and individuals operating in countries that are U.S. major non-NATO allies. The assessment must identify which terrorist groups are present, what they're doing (including use of AI), how the host country is countering them, and what additional resources DHS needs to prevent those terrorists from entering the U.S. Reports must be submitted within 180 days and then every two years, with classified briefings to Congress.
