What it does
This bill requires Medicare Advantage plans to include four new data points in their encounter data reports to Medicare: the allowed amount for each service, patient cost-sharing details (copays, deductibles, coinsurance), and indicators showing whether patients received in-home health risk assessments—with a distinction between assessments from entities the plan owns or controls versus independent entities. The requirement takes effect January 1, 2027.
