What it does
This bill modifies Medicare's Accountable Care Organization (ACO) program to give healthcare providers more flexibility in how they report quality data to Medicare. Specifically, it allows ACOs to choose from multiple data-collection methods (electronic, MIPS, or Medicare-specific formats) for 2025–2029, permits them to exclude data from individual providers who cannot use their chosen method without penalty, and establishes a 2028–2032 pilot program allowing selected ACOs to report on only 2 quality measures instead of the full set, with those measures not counting against their performance scores.
