H.R. 10305 — Strengthening Oversight in Public Buildings Act
What it does
This bill amends the Thomas R. Carper Water Resources Development Act of 2024 to require federal agencies to share building-use data with the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and the Public Buildings Reform Board, to clarify which agencies must comply with federal real-estate oversight rules, and to allow the General Services Administration to temporarily hold onto federal buildings if doing so saves money by enabling the sale or renovation of other federal properties. The bill strengthens transparency and accountability in how the federal government manages its real estate portfolio.
Quorum's transparency scan found no buried provisions in Strengthening Oversight in Public Buildings Act.
