What it does
This bill creates a legal shield for cloud storage companies that contract with law enforcement to store child sexual abuse material (CSAM) for investigations and prosecutions. The companies must meet cybersecurity standards and can be sued only for intentional misconduct or reckless disregard; they are otherwise immune from civil or criminal liability for storing and handling this evidence.
