What it does
This bill directs the Secretary of the Interior to establish regional invasive species strike teams within the National Wildlife Refuge System to detect, prevent, and respond to invasive species threats on federal refuge lands and adjacent private lands (with owner permission). The teams will use coordinated training, standardized reporting, and partnerships with state, tribal, local, and private entities. The bill authorizes $10 million annually from 2027–2033 for the program and requires progress reports to Congress.
