What it does

The bill makes the Affordable Care Act's credits last forever. It removes the income cap so more people get help. It starts a new federal health plan in 2028. Starting in 2030, Medicare sets lower prices for 30 to 50 drugs each year. Those lower prices also apply to regular health plans.

Who it affects

People earning 150 to 400 percent of the poverty line get lower costs. People without health plans can join the new federal plan. They must not qualify for Medicare or employer plans. People who buy drugs get lower prices through Medicare.

One thing to notice

The bill repeals most of an earlier law. It does not say what those parts did.
