What it does
The Department of Agriculture gives money to colleges and universities. Schools use the money to pay for free meals for low-income students. Schools can serve one to ten free meals each week. Students who get Pell Grants or lack food can eat for free. Getting free meals at school will not stop students from getting other federal food help like SNAP.
