What it does
The bill lets college students use SNAP benefits to buy prepared meals on campus. Right now, SNAP only works at grocery stores. Colleges and food companies must accept SNAP at the same price as cash. They cannot charge extra fees. Students cannot use SNAP to prepay meal plans or pay old bills.
