What it does
The bill tells the Department of Defense to require companies to give a detailed list. The list shows all software, data, and hardware parts inside any AI system they sell. Companies must give this list before they win a contract. If the Pentagon asks, companies must update the list within 48 hours. The goal is to let the Pentagon see what is inside AI systems. The Pentagon can then check for safety risks.
