What it does
This bill changes the rules for uranium fuel plants. Companies can now start building after they ask the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for a license. They do not have to wait for the license first. They must tell state and local governments and Indian tribes 15 days before building. The bill removes the requirement for a public hearing before building begins.
