What it does
The bill makes companies tell kids when they talk to an AI chatbot. Companies must stop chatbots from pushing kids toward self-harm or sexual content. Parents get tools to watch what their kids do. The bill sorts chatbots into three types: school bots, friendship bots, and therapy bots. School bots must say they are not human every 3 hours. Friendship bots must say it every 60 minutes and alert parents if a kid mentions suicide. Therapy bots need a real doctor or therapist to supervise.

Kids who use AI chatbots get stronger safety rules. Parents get alerts if a chatbot learns a kid is thinking about suicide. Companies that make these chatbots must follow new rules.
