What it does
This bill lets mental health doctors provide care without a doctor's watch in rural areas. It gives mental health doctors a 10% pay raise. They get this raise if they work in areas that need more help, starting in 2028. Mental health doctors can now work alone in nursing homes, home health, day treatment, and mental health units. Doctors still must talk with mental health doctors in some cases. But doctors no longer watch over them.
