What it does
The bill makes airports pay workers more money. Airports must pay the higher amount: the federal Service Contract Act wage or state or local minimum wage. Workers must get fringe benefits. Airports must report each month that they follow the rules. The Department of Labor sets the exact wage amounts within 120 days. The Department of Transportation checks that airports obey the law. Workers can sue in federal court if an airport breaks the rules.
