What it does
This bill authorizes Congress to award a single gold medal to MACV–SOG (a classified special operations unit that conducted covert missions in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia from 1964–1972) in recognition of their service and sacrifice. The medal will be displayed at the Smithsonian Institution, and the Treasury Department may sell bronze duplicates to cover costs.
