What it does
The bill stops cosmetics makers from adding PFAS on purpose. PFAS are chemicals that stay in the body and environment for a long time. The ban starts January 1, 2027. Cosmetics with PFAS added on purpose become illegal to sell. The ban does not cover PFAS that get in by accident.
