What it does
This bill removes all mentions of 'socially disadvantaged farmers' from farm laws. It stops the USDA from giving help based on race or gender. The bill changes crop loans, farm loans, and soil and water programs. It replaces help for left-out groups with help only for 'beginning' farmers. It also helps 'veteran' farmers.
Who it affects
Black, Latino, Native American, and women farmers lose programs made for them. These farmers faced barriers to owning land and getting loans.
