What it does
The bill makes the FCC decide on space radio permits within one year. If the FCC misses the deadline, the permit is approved by itself. The bill sets 30-day deadlines for ground station permits. It also stops states from setting prices that space radio firms charge.
Who it affects
Space radio and radio firms get faster permits. People who use space radio services lose state power to control what firms charge them.
One thing to notice
If the FCC does not act by the deadline, the permit gets approved on its own. States can no longer set or limit prices that space radio firms charge.
