What it does
The bill makes it illegal to give out two pregnancy-ending drugs. The drugs are mifepristone and misoprostol. A doctor must be in the same room with the patient first. The doctor must check the patient in person before giving the drugs. Providers who break this rule face up to 5 years in prison. They also face $50,000 fines for each time they do it. The bill says a child starts at the moment of joining sperm and egg. It makes exceptions for saving the pregnant person's life. It also allows removing dead embryos and pregnancies outside the uterus.
