What it does

This bill stops all federal K-12 school programs by June 30, 2027. It takes federal school money and puts it into School Freedom Accounts for parents. Each child gets money equal to what the federal government spent per student. Parents can use the money for private schools, tutoring, homeschooling, or their public school. Money not spent stays in an account. Kids can use it until age 30 for college or job training.

Who it affects

The bill affects low-income students, students with disabilities, and rural districts. These groups rely on federal money. It affects parents who control the accounts. It affects public schools that lose federal money.

One thing to notice

The bill ends federal programs for special education, low-income schools, and rural schools. The money each child gets does not account for higher costs. Teaching students with disabilities or students in poor areas costs more.
