What it does
This bill changes the Clean Air Act. The board that studies chemical accidents must have at least one member. That member must know about trades or industrial labor. The President must pick a new member within 90 days if someone leaves. If no pick is made, the President must tell the Senate why. The President must report every 90 days until a new member is picked.
Who it affects
Workers and the public are affected. Workers in hazardous industries gain a voice in accident studies. The public learns why the board has empty seats.
One thing to notice
The bill requires the board to include someone with work experience in dangerous jobs.
