What it does
The bill tells HUD to let Native American tribes share housing vouchers for homeless veterans. Tribes can report when they have unused vouchers. Those vouchers go to tribes that need them more. Tribes that give up vouchers cannot be punished. HUD must report on gaps in voucher use and suggest fixes.
Who it affects
Native American tribes and tribal housing groups benefit. Homeless veterans may get housing help. No tribe loses vouchers it already has.
One thing to notice
The bill only works if tribes report unused vouchers and HUD acts on them. The bill moves unused vouchers to tribes that need them more.
