What it does
The bill changes how Medicare pays insurance companies in Puerto Rico. On January 1, 2027, Puerto Rico gets the same payment rate as the Virgin Islands. Right now Puerto Rico gets less money. Fewer insurance plans are available there. The bill aims to give Puerto Rico residents more plan choices.
