What it does
This bill lets rural health centers get full pay from Medicaid for birth care. It also helps centers that treat many poor patients. Normally, states have spending caps on these payments. This bill removes those caps for eligible centers starting July 4, 2025.
Who it affects
Rural health centers gain help. Centers that serve many uninsured and poor pregnant patients can now get full Medicaid pay for birth services.
One thing to notice
The bill applies to births that happened before it became law. Centers may claim pay for care they already gave.
