What it does
The bill gives $13.9 billion for fusion energy through 2031. It sets up a new office at the Department of Energy. An Assistant Secretary will lead the office. Private companies can get up to $3 billion to build fusion plants. Companies that hit certain goals get the money. Companies keep all rights to inventions they make.
