What it does
The bill requires the VA to tell veterans and families when they are talking to AI. The VA must explain what the AI is being used for. The VA has 180 days after the law starts to make this change. The VA can use AI to help its own staff with office work without telling anyone. But the VA cannot use AI to talk directly to veterans without telling them first.
