What it does
This bill lets Medicare pay for work by community health workers. The start date is January 1, 2027. Medicare will cover 100% of the cost with no deductible. States can add these workers to Medicaid and get more federal money. Community health workers help with health coaching, care work, and linking people to housing, food, and jobs.
