What it does
The bill stops charging a fee on certain small loans. The fee waiver applies only to retired or current police officers. They must have at least 10 years of service and cannot be under investigation for breaking rules. The waiver starts January 1, 2027. If the cost goes above zero in any year, the head can bring the fee back.
