What it does
This bill says federal agencies must buy uniforms and clothing from U.S. companies only. Agencies can skip this rule in emergencies, for workers overseas, or when U.S. items are not available. Agencies can also skip it if U.S. uniforms cost too much. Agencies must write down each time they skip the rule. Agencies must tell Congress each year how many uniforms they bought.
