What it does
The bill stops Medicare and private health plans from charging copays for opioid addiction treatment. It stops deductibles and coinsurance too. Health plans must cover medicine that treats addiction, drugs that reverse overdoses, and recovery help. The bill tests a new Medicare plan in 15 high-need states. It raises federal Medicaid money to 90% for addiction treatment.
