What it does

The bill lets Medicare pay for written cancer care plans. Doctors, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants can make them. Plans include shared choices, symptom help, and life after treatment. Medicare pays the same rate as transitional care help. Plans are given at diagnosis, when treatment changes, at the end of active treatment, or when cancer returns.
